Directions to the

First Presbyterian Church of New Vernon

(Harding Township)

From Route 80 (coming from the north east or west)

1. Travel on Rte. 80 (east or west depending upon where you are -- check map) to Rte. 287 South (toward Morristown).

2. Take 287 South to the 2nd Morristown exit (Madison Ave).

3. At top of ramp, bear right onto Madison Avenue before light and immediately, get in the left hand lane preparing to make a turn.

4. At next traffic light (across from IMEDIA Technology Center), make a sharp LEFT onto South Street. Take South street to end, passing Loantaka Park on left, and

5. Bear LEFT onto SpringValley Road. Travel on Spring Valley Road to blinker light.

6. At Blinker, turn RIGHT onto Blue Mill Road (pass Municipal Building on right and Catholic Church on Left with pretty pond surrounded by Willow Trees!)

7. At next traffic light, continue straight through light (road becomes Lee’s Hill Rd) and First Presbyterian Church of New Vernon’s meeting hall will be second white building on the right. Church is on the corner.

Coming from the SOUTH:

· Travel the Turnpike North to Rte. 287 North to the 1st Morristown exit (South Street).

· At end of exit ramp, there will be a traffic light. Turn RIGHT at light onto South Street. Take South street to end, passing Loantaka Park on left, and pick up directions from #5 above.

PARKWAY ALTERNATIVE FROM THE NORTH & SOUTH:

· Travel the Parkway (north or south depending upon where you are -- look at map) to Rte. 78 West.

· Travel on Rte. 78 West to Rte. 24 West (bear to the right when the highway splits) and travel Rte. 24 West to the River Road (Summit) Exit (By Short Hills Mall).

· Take River Rd. Exit toward Summit, passing a Diner and Novartis Corp. on the left. Road will then fork, bear sharply RIGHT onto Watchung Ave. which eventually becomes Shunpike Road.

· Travel Watchung/Shunpike for a few miles. You will come to a traffic light and will see the Hickory Square Mall on Left. As you travel through the light and travel along side of the Hickory Square Mall, get into the left lane.

· Turn LEFT at the next Traffic Light onto Green Village Road. Travel on Green Village Road for a little less than 1 mile, passing the Fire House on left and the Green Village Deli and a brown wooden Methodist Church on your right. Make next LEFT onto Village Road. Pass the Willow Tree Office (7th house on the right) and continue on Village Road until you come to a traffic light.

· At Traffic Light, turn LEFT onto Lee’s Hill Rd. Church is on right hand side of road and the meeting hall is the 2nd white building on the right.
